I have decided to create a simple frame which will contain as many screws and nails as I can gather. I have made a frame from garden wire and rolled it and cut parts of it so that I have almost three towers or stacks. I have decided not to use any glue or welding or any type of physical glueing/attachment methods. I want the piece to be self supportive. The stacking and accumulation work that I have been looking at is really inspiring this piece as I am using a whole variety of nails and screws, basically anything I could gather in the studio from my classmates. The gathering part of this work is much harder than I expected because I am finding that I totally underestimated how many I am going to need.
There is a great variety of objects in the studio and no one else seems to be using nails/screws in their work to the same extent as me so I have been gathering them from everyone!
